About this brewery
Birrificio Infraportas is a young Umbrian brand based in the heart of Foligno, in the province of Perugia, beside the ancient church of Santa Maria Infraportas from which it takes its name. The brewing journey began in December 2023, driven by two friends and partners, Matteo Barili and Simone Giappichelli. Inspired by the leading international brewing schools, the range also draws on local identity: Trinci, a Tropical IPA whose name recalls the noble family tied to the city, and Centro del Mondo, a bitter that nods to Foligno's nickname. The beers can also be enjoyed in the adjoining Tap Room, served with charcuterie and cheese boards.
